Welcome messages to the Muslim community of Borehamwood

As part of Borehamwood Mitzvah Day 2020 and speaking to the themes of “Celebrating Diversity” and “Food Brings Us Together,” in this video, Rabbi Jeff Berger (Mitzvah Day Interfaith Coordinator), Rev. Louise Collins (St Michael & All Angels Church), President Visakha Dasi (Bhaktivedanta Manor Hari Krishna Temple), the Chairman and an Imam of Borehamwood Mosque, Sheila & John Carlisle from Gratitude and Dan Ozarow, Project Coordinator share their messages of peace and friendship around these themes and offer welcome messages to the Muslim community as they arrive at their new mosque in Maxwell Road.

They are joined by children from Yavneh Primary School and Yavneh College who share their welcome messages and drawings in this exciting and important initiative which strengthens bonds between our diverse local community. As part of this project for Mitzvah Day, Gratitude organised food distribution to the wider community at their new centre in Bushey and a Kosher food bank at Yavneh the week prior.
